Denise Fleming likes purple sneakers and rainbow-striped socks. She has written and illustrated many picture books, including "SHOUT! Her illustrations are created by pulp painting, a papermaking technique. Denise lives in Toledo, Ohio, with her husband, David Powers, with whom she often collaborates.
