God - The Interview

Author(s): Terry Lane

Philosophy and Religion

In this provocative and searching book, Terry Lane poses such endlessly perplexing questions as Is there a God? Does She care about such an insignificant planet? Why does She permit the innocent to suffer and the wicked to prosper? Does She have 'chosen people'? Who or what was Jesus? God: the interview was first published in 1993 to enthusiastic acclaim. The conundrums it raises are, if anything, more urgent and more important in the light of religious extremism, serious scandals within the established church and in-your-face consumerism. Updated to analyse some of the most serious of recent events,God: the interview gently encourages us to interrogate some of our most profound assumptions on faith and humanity.
