Humanities alive, Level 5, Teacher Support Kit provides a total support package for teachers using the textbooks Humanities Alive 1 and Humanities Alive 2 . These textbooks specifically address the new Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS), Level 5. The support kit is in two parts. Part A provides a wealth of support material for every chapter in the textbooks. Part B contains 129 photocopiable worksheets that extend learning opportunities for selected textbook spreads. Key features of every chapter in Part A include: a detailed grid linking content to key standards for the Discipline-based Learning, Interdisciplinary Learning and the Physical, Personal and Social Learning strands links, where appropriate, to other discipline-based domains (and selected texts) links to support material and other resources on the Jacaranda website (including an assessment template that can be customised, and pertinent ICT instructional material) suggest teaching and assessment strategies throughout pedagogical comment, including any VELS links, for all worksheets answers to all activities, with additional background information included, where appropriate, for the busy teacher.
