Chanukah Lights (Pop Up)

Author(s): Michael J. Rosen

Celebrations and Festivals

From a pop-up master and an acclaimed poet and author, here comes a gloriously original celebration of the true spirit of Chanukah. Open this beautiful gift book and follow the Festival of Lights through place and time - from Herod's Temple to a shtetl in Russia; from a refugee ship bound for America to an Israeli kibbutz. Inspired by Michael J. Rosen's reverent poem that shows how "the menorah illuminates the rooms of history", Robert Sabuda's striking pop-ups render the essence of a menorah in eight different scenes, using such imagery as desert tents, pushcart lanterns, olive trees, and a final panorama of skyscrapers, which evokes a Chanukah candelabrum. This is a stunning new pop-up book by master paper engineer Robert Sabuda. This is a welcome addition to the Chanukah book offerings. This is the perfect holiday gift for readers of all ages.
