Take Along Tangles

Author(s): Jane Monk

Activity

Take your tangle art and coloring meditation practice with you wherever you go! This little art-therapy package is made for the busy bees who want to carry a small-format tangle pad and coloring book with them, wherever their active lives lead. The package includes a 32-page instructional booklet to guide you along and a 104-page pad filled with five-inch square tangle drawings, waiting for you to color them in. Small and compact, Take-Along Tangles is easy to tuck into a pocket or toss into your bag. The instructional booklet offers coloring basics, as well as easy-to-follow techniques for shading, highlighting, creating textures, and enhancing dimensions. The tangle pad's 104 pages are filled with designs calling out for color! The pad's pages are loosely bound for easy removal. The compact size of the whole package makes it a convenient activity to pick up in a number of situations. Imagine coloring your tangle designs on the bus, in a waiting room, or in any idle moment when you need to calm your nerves. Think during political debates, while watching the evening news, or while waiting for a screaming toddler (or politician) to wind down from a tantrum. The paper used in the booklet is high quality, making colored drawings suitable for framing or using for handmade greeting cards. Yet the package itself is inexpensive enough that you won't mind tossing the colored drawings if you have no use for them. If you're really resourceful, you might save the drawings and create your own tangle designs on the backs! Plenty of possibilities with Take-Along Tangles.
