Description

Grandpa Green wasn't always a gardener. He was a boy who lived on a farm and a child who had chickenpox. He was a soldier, a husband and, most of all, an artist. Follow his grandson through a garden where memories are handed down through the shapes of topiary trees and imagination recreates things forgotten. GRANDPA GREEN opens the door to a garden of wonder which parents and grandparents will be able to share with children for generations to come.

Author description

Lane Smith is a bestselling author and illustrator. He is best-known in the UK for IT'S A BOOK (978 0 330 54402 3), his wonderfully observed picture book which provides a playful and light-hearted examination of print as a medium in the digital age. He is also known for his brilliantly quirky and silly collaborations with Jon Scieszka, in particular for the multi award-winning THE STINKY CHEESE MAN AND OTHER FAIRLY STUPID TALES (Puffin). Lane lives in a small town in rural Connecticut with his wife, Molly, a picture book designer.
