Esoteric Tao Teh Ching

Author(s): Lao Tzu

Health and Wellbeing

Books on enlightenment often emphasise the doctrine of nothingness, purity, innocence or freedom as applied to spiritual cultivation. Such was Hua-Ching Ni’s intention in his first translation of The Complete Works of Lao Tzu, which includes the Tao Teh Ching. The Esoteric Tao Teh Ching approaches Lao Tzu’s simple and profound spiritual wisdom from a different perspective. Since nothingness does not last, a teaching that over-emphasises the doctrine of nothingness is a partial teaching. In the spirit of Tao, Hua-Ching Ni gives people useful insight and techniques with which they can cultivate their lives based on the Tao Teh Ching. The text, a commentary, a discussion section, and a chapter on traditional techniques of spiritual cultivation are included.
