Collins Big Cat is a guided reading series for ages 4--7 edited by Cliff Moon. Collins Big Cat Big Book of Rhymes B contains a wealth of chants, action rhymes, nursery rhymes (old and new!) and poems especially selected for Collins Big Cat by much loved children's poet, John Foster. Poems link to themes from the guided reading books in Bands Yellow/3 - to Green/5. It's designed to be read with the whole class, modelling good reading strategies and good practice - as well as developing children's awareness of rhythm and rhyme, so important in early literacy.
