Serpentine

Author(s): Mark Laita

Animals

Slithering across the pages are shining pastel pythons, vibrant green vipers, and rearing king cobras captured mid-attack. This master photographer reveals their iridescence, textures and grace to us as never before, their exquisite beauty and the technical brilliance of Laita's images showcased in a luscious large-format book. Accompanying Mark's images will be profoundly illuminating text from William Vollmann, winner of the National Book Award. Vollmann's text will delve deeply into the mythology and mystique of the serpents that haunt our collective human imagination: their beauty, their evil, their mystical power.
